On August 24, 1855 a group of Christian people in Lost Creek Township decided to form a Church called the Christian Congregation. During this time they met in the houses of the trustees and the School House.
On May 4, 1858, 3/4 of an acre of land 1 mile east on Hulman from State Road 46 was purchased for $20 by the church.
1880: the congregation was now meeting in their new church.
1887: the Christian Congregation changed its name to Union Christian Church.
1955: because of airport expansion. The property of the church was purchased and the church was moved to where it is today at the corner of Hulman and State Road 46.
2006: Union Christian Church was struck by a tornado and the sanctuary was leveled and rebuilt in 2007, however the original church building still remains intact.
