Sharing
There are things in life we love to share and other things we want
for ourselves. It seems so easy to want something then once we get
it, to want it all to ourselves. I see this all the time with our
kids (Esp. Christmas) it’s easy to get wrapped up into a I got it,
it’s mine and not wanting to share it.
Some things we love to share and tell
everyone in the world about. What are those things you want to share
and are glad to share?
You could look on Facebook and see
stories of people excited to get into a sweet college, getting an A
on the test they studied hard for, getting the job they want or
performing well in sports or in band. We want to share when we get
something good.
Where does faith come into play? Stats show us that most people who
make a decision for Christ, never themselves bring someone along to
faith.
The older they get the more likely they will stop hanging out with
people unlike their own beliefs.
Some people want to share what they like but are scared to share
there faith. What if there was a way to help you out if you are
scared to show your faith? There is, it’s called Dare2Share
(www.dare2share.org)
a conference to help teach you to share
your faith with your friends.
It takes place the week after spring break in Chicago, April 13-15.
We will spent the night in a hotel and
go to Church at Willow Creek Community Church
(www.willowcreek.org) on Sunday
morning.
There are things we are willing to tell our friends about, faith is
one of them.
Dare2Share will cost about $100 not including food, but is well
worth learning to share your faith.
Have a great day.
