Christian Education Corner . . . . . .

I recently purchased an IPOD Touch and it worked great for the first few weeks. I was able to load some of my favorite music on to it. I was able to download a Bible on it, some games and I could check my e-mail and Facebook from it as long as there was WIFI available. Then one day it would no longer connect to my wireless internet connection at home. I tried and tried and tried but no luck and since I am tech—illiterate I did the next best thing and I took it back to Best Buy and explained to the Geek Squad what was happening. They tried it and it connected to their wireless so the problem is with the communication between our wireless internet and the IPOD. So needless to say I’m not getting much fulfillment from my IPOD since it is not connected.

How fulfilled are we when we are not fully connected? How effective are we when we are operating without some of our power source? We were talking recently about how excited we are with the number of people that are reading the Bible daily and the many classes that are teaching from the weekly readings. Someone made the comment that we were being empowered by reading and studying the Bible. That is so true. The Bible is a major source of power for our spiritual growth. Think of it as a Growth Hormone for our soul. I am excited by the hungering for the Word that I am seeing. Let’s be the most effective we can be by staying or getting connected to the power source. If you haven’t started yet it’s never too late to start.
